| Enrique Sendra was born in Havana, Cuba in the year 1982. As a young boy his passion for art was very evident, art wasn’t a hobby for Enrique, it was his career path. With the support and encouragement of his family and friends, he was able to develop his talent by attending workshops and creating relations with other artists who shared his enthusiasm for arts. In 1999, Enrique Sendra enrolled in his first professional school of arts known as “Taller de Figueroa”, in this school he was able to learn art in a more structured way. In 2001 at the age of 18-years-old the artist had his first solo exhibition in the Amelia Pélaez Gallery, that same year Enrique initiated the course of enrolling to the most prestigious fine arts academy in Cuba named “San Alejandro” a process that stopped once Enrique immigrated to United States. |
| Enrique Sendra’s work expresses the essential and collective reality as of his emotions, sensations, experiences, and observations. The imagery the artist uses is a symbolic process of self-discovery, and it is a personal narration structure developed from the self or identity as a man, and a human overall. |
